Through education and advocacy workshops, Project STAR has worked to increase healthcare providers’ and LGBT organizations’ transgender-specific cultural competency. The program provides a safe and supportive environment for transgender individuals looking for: employment assistance, counseling referrals, access to transitioning related medical services, and community support.
